Users of drumMUSTER and ChemClear have a new port of call, with the experienced Stewart McIntosh looking forward to the challenges ahead in his role as the new Regional Consultant for South Australia.
Mr McIntosh has a wealth of industry knowledge and in addition to helping increase container return rates and liaising with local councils, he will also be raising awareness and participation in ChemClear, a program that collects and disposes of obsolete or unwanted agvet chemicals.
National Program Manager Allan McGann said, “Stewart’s extensive background in agriculture and with local government was a major factor in him being appointed for the SA consultant’s role.”
“His knowledge of the agriculture industry and the contacts he has built up over many years will place him well in further developing the programs. We believe he has all the attributes to be a valuable contributor to the company,” he said.
Mr McIntosh has used drumMUSTER and ChemClear previously, as both a consumer and in the retail sector, and is looking forward to promoting and expanding the programs.
“drumMUSTER and ChemClear have provided valuable environmental and economic outcomes for the agriculture industry for a long time, with outstanding results,” he said. “To be tasked to build on the strong footprint in South Australia left from previous work undertaken is extremely motivating, and I’m excited to be involved as the new Regional Consultant.”
Mr McIntosh replaces David Jesse in the role.
Mr Jesse was instrumental in establishing the drumMUSTER program in SA, working closely with local governments to increase participation in the program through a wide network of collection points.
In addition to being a consultant, Mr Jesse also served as an Agsafe Facilitator and Trainer for more than twelve years, assessing resellers across the state.
Mr Jesse was a strong advocate for both the ChemClear and drumMUSTER programs and his hard work and dedication ensures he leaves his post with both in excellent shape.
“We look forward to Stewart joining our team to enhance the fantastic work undertaken by David,” said Mr McGann.
