Great news for QLD Farmers!
The collection of group 2 agvet chemicals in the upcoming ChemClear collection will be co-funded by ChemClear and the QLD Government Department of Environment and Science.
This arrangement means that farmers and primary producers can now receive up to 50% in funding which will reduce the cost of removal and treatment of these chemicals, allowing significant quantities of hazardous chemicals to be sent for safe treatment and disposal.
The safe management of these chemicals as part of the ChemClear program means the risk of these chemicals entering the environment is minimised. Chemicals that fall under the group 1 category will be collected free of charge.
Chemical holders have until 13 June to register their chemicals for collection. Visit www.chemclear.org.au/register-your-chemical for further information and to register your chemicals.
